Before the door of Art In Bloom DC opened to the public…
Incredibly honored to participate for the fifth year in a row and humbled by the incredibly breathtaking floral art other participating florists created this year.
Thank you @swf_floral for sponsoring me with your gorgeous flowers and helping me get those crazy beautiful cobra lillies and fritillaria ivory bells from Holland for my floral piece.
Thank you @artinbloom.dc@margobrightoccasions@eventsatandersonhouse@atelierashleyflowers for having me at what’s becoming the most amazing flower event in DC again.
It was a pure joy to style the birthday celebration of their daughter’s first year of life with my flowers this past weekend.
I would not be able to do so without stunning blooms from my favorite flower suppliers @swf_floral@grateful_gardeners and @fernandfollyfarm
What can I say? This year of flowering has been amazing. With the flowers from my wholesale suppliers and local flower farms, inspired by each season and nature I let my creativity do its own thing.
Color is my language, flowers are my paintbrush.
Every arrangement I create is a little piece of my soul - happy, vibrant, and full of life. My style has always been about painting people’s lives with flowers, adding beauty, emotion, and color to everyday moments.
These blooms are more than arrangements to me… they’re feelings, memories, and joy wrapped together in petals. I hope you can see it in the same way.
This one would be a keeper for me. Just love everything about this flower arrangement I created for one amazing mom I know and who is cherished so much by her family.
Birthday flower surprise for her mom who used to be a florist back in Korea.
This detail stuck with me when I was selecting and making this flower arrangement. If you ever see Korean florists doing their magic, you realize that flowers aren’t just arranged, they’re composed with intention, balance, and emotion. Every stem has a purpose, every color shift feels thoughtful, and even the empty space matters.
I wanted this piece to feel soft, elegant, and quietly expressive; something that could bring back memories while still feeling personal and celebratory. Knowing it was going to someone who once worked with flowers professionally definitely made me slow down and pay attention to every detail a little more.
