Am 14.02.2026 laden wir erstmals zum Niet- & Nagelfest mit grimmigem Black Metal in die Szenerie, die Rockkneipe eures & unseres Vertrauens in Leer. Um 22 Uhr werden @flesiabm aus Leipzig den Abend mit einer anständigen Portion Boshaftigkeit & musikgewordener Frustration eröffnen. Dabei verzichten sie wie genreüblich nicht auf einen Bass, sondern auf die Unterstützung von Sechssaitern. Das Trio wartet mit einem einzigartigen Tieftöner auf, der zeigt, dass Black Metal zwischen traditioneller Raserei & dezenten melodischen Einschüben auch ohne Gitarre möglich ist. Im Anschluss spielen @permutationmetal aus dem Emsland eine melodisch sphärische Mischung aus 'menschenfreundlichem" Black Metal mit stampfenden Death-Metal-Riffs. @embraced_by_darkness_official aus Groningen, die im Oktober 2025 ihr Album "Ex Inferis" veröffentlichten wüten zum Abschluss mit aggressiven blast beats -durchgängig laut, dröhnend, melodisch & düster. We first heard about Flesia through a message from Nino of @lower_class_kids_records .
Just a SoundCloud link. Three tracks and the cover artwork.
The artwork caught us immediately, so we listened. Then listened again. And again.
We reached out to the band and things came together very naturally.
Only later in the process we realized: no guitars?
Bass, drums, voice. That’s it.
Not as a concept or a gimmick, but simply because that is what felt right for them.
We also learned later that the artwork is created by @geleeregen and that @45__tim handled mix and master.
None of this was used as selling points. No name-dropping (that’s our job now!).
Just the music and the visual world around it.
Everything else revealed itself afterwards.

Achterbahnekstase is not our first release, but it was the first one we ever sent to a pressing plant under our own label. And it became the record where we really learned what we want a Cultkill release to feel like.
We tested materials, finishes, paper weights, adhesives, layouts. We ended up printing the sleeve on reverse board, a matte, rough texture that fits the album’s artwork by @geleeregen .
For this release there is no printed numbering on the front. Instead: a small hand-applied sticker on the outer sleeve, and the hand-numbering on the back of each copy. That means every copy was unpacked → numbered → dried → reassembled. One by one. If you like terrible handwriting, you are welcome.
For the insert we went through a whole selection of samples and landed on 300g recycled stock. Thick, warm, tactile.
There are things we will refine over time, but we are genuinely proud of how Achterbahnekstase turned out. The colors, the layout, the neon-green vinyl, the overall feel.
