This lovely human @matthew_shear made a film and it’s in theatres today.
Made with so much grit and care, from the heart. Congratulations all!

The family apartment in Park Avenue might be my favorite interior design to date. From our first conversation, Gaby and I were both interested in a bold palette, yet a comfortable, lived-in environment. A space with some opulence and depth. We had such fun quilting this world together.
Working in a completely empty apartment location allowed us to invent the home more or less from scratch. When designing entire apartments I have often built on a stage, so it was an interesting journey to start with this architecture. Eternal thanks to the whole crew, especially the scenic and the set dec teams who pulled off some serious witchcraft on this one.
And a huge thank you to the visual artists who loaned works to this film.
In particular, Jenny Scobel generously providing multiple stunning portraits allowed us to weave a thread throughout the film, featuring her paintings in multiple homes owned by multiple family members.

Thank you Santa Barbara, such a treat to reunite with some of the incredible humans that I collaborated with on @ParkAvenueTheMovie

Thrilled to be heading to SXSW with FANTASY LIFE. It was such a pleasure to meet new collaborators and be reunited with old pals. Matthew is the nicest most generous human and I’m thrilled to have been a part of his film.
A true town and country tale, we had a pretty epic scout process, Emily somehow always in heels ; )
While we faced some hurdles (what project doesn’t)- covid shut downs, strike waivers, tropical storm torrential floods, my first trimester- I’m so proud of what we created. Plus I enjoyed some of my favorite remote office moments to date.
So many folks put their hearts into this film. I’d like to spotlight my profound gratitude to @lilyraih , @stovenation___ , @lilkirkyj , and @andrewbehm_ for being so steadfast. Congrats all!
(Per usual I need to improve in taking more crew photos, hope you enjoy these mementos I have on my phone.)
A few years ago I traveled out to Louisiana
to collaborate with some wonderful humans taking on a thrilling project surrounded by vast cyprus swamps, moss, and rust. I also found some of the nicest people (and dogs) I’ve meet to date.
I did an abysmal job on crew/process pics for this one but c’est la vie!
Many thanks and congratulations to the incredible Debbie DeVilla, @karadurrett , @celineheld_ and @loganwgeorge . Huge thanks to all of the construction, scenic, greens, and graphics hands as well as the whole cast and crew.
The fruit of our collective labor, CADDO LAKE, is available now on HBO Max.
