Flavius is joining Tanglewood Festival for our 4th year bringing our decor, production and space curation for the Funk Tunnel stage 2025/26 🤯 (Time flies when you are having fun and constantly traversing the galaxy. )
It was a honour to receive a call from Tanglewood after they heard about our little Subspace doof back in 2021. The mission, to breathe some new life into the much loved, but neglected Funk Tunnel stage.
It has been a beautiful challenge and opportunity and we've loved every moment of becoming a part of the Tanglewood family.
This year, in a departure from our previous stages, we are doing a custom stage in honour of the Co-Founder of Tanglewood festival, the late, and sorely missed Steph Born.
A stage conceptualized by @jessihoopz and being designed by @rhizome_________

Scientists and engineers from Flavius ventured out on a secret mission to learn more about the object we had been studying for years. The data we had been receiving originally led us to believe it to be a black hole, a simple dimple in the fabric of spacetime, as is well understood. Recently, our concern grew as the object was recorded to be not only devouring the light in its vicinity, but also producing a low bass frequency far greater than ever recorded.
In an attempt to not overly excite the rest of the Flavius colony with the recent data we found, I crewed a small ship to explore the phenomenon without trying to raise too much suspicion.

Now to talk about all the details of the mission in full transparency. It was a hard fought journey to the object. We were at light speed for at least 4 months before arriving. It was a rough 4 months and the crew was driving each other a bit crazy on the ship. We had one crew member… ..and th.. Dark Matter….compu. . . Sub….67x%..Terra … You wouldn’t read about it. The Funk Tunnel has grown over the years into an intimate beat-filled nest where a selection of beloved crews share the space to bring their own carefully curated takeovers into our Tangled world.
@flavius.space will be transforming the space into something really quite incredible and significant for us this year. Their alien jungle last year was such a vibe, we can’t wait to get lost in this year’s tunnel vision. 👀
