Ready to slow down and actually see your surroundings? 🌿 Join us on Sunday for a walking croquis session set in the natural landscapes of the Stockholm region. Over the course of two hours, we move together through the environment, depicting the surroundings in quick five-minute sketches before changing our view.
This workshop is about walking, stopping, looking, and making. When you sketch directly on site, something shifts: the place begins to feel more alive, more present. The aim is not to capture it perfectly, but to spend time with it. Walking becomes part of the process, and drawing becomes a way of being there more fully.
WHEN: 3 May, Sunday, 14.00–16.00
WHERE: A circular route starting/ending at Hellasgården. Meeting point: Hellasgårdens utegym
ROUTE: From Slussen, take bus 401 (towards Älta) and get off at the stop 'Hellasgården'. The travel time is approx. 17 min. / Frequency: about every 15 minutes, including weekends
PRACTICALITIES: The workshop is free of charge; please bring your own materials. We recommend that all participants bring water, snacks, good walking shoes and clothes, according to the weather.
The walking workshop is led by JUANMA GONZÁLEZ
@juanmagonzalezmarcos , a Spanish artist based in Stockholm, with over a decade of experience developing walking-based projects and exhibiting his work in countries including Sweden, Norway, Finland, Spain, Estonia, and the United States. In addition to his artistic practice, González uses walking as a pedagogical tool and has coordinated and led workshops for KKH students and faculty, including a workshop trip to Madrid in 2019 and a one-day workshop inspired by the Swedish “studiecirkel” model in 2020.
