💜 SHEHAKOL - OUT NOW! 💜
Like many of us, I’ve had times in my life where (shocker!) my life didn’t follow the path I expected. My plans didn’t work out. Life just didn’t look the way I wanted it to. Anyone relate? 😆
A thought popped into my mind one day as I sat on my couch during a stressful time and did what I do often - said “Hashem, I know you’ve got me. It may not look how I thought it would, but I trust in you, and I know that I’ll be ok”. And then I thought - WOW. 😮 How lucky I am to have that gift. To be able to surrender, to feel so confident in my belief in Hashem - what a gift! Can you imagine how I’d feel if I thought I was in control? This thought ruminated in my mind…
And then. About 4 years ago, standing on stage at a private event, taking a drink, I asked the crowd if they knew what Shehakol meant. And it just HIT ME. Because here’s the thing. We don’t say “Shehakol Nihiyeh Tov” - that everything will be good, everything will be ok. In fact, we know that life isn’t perfect! So often, we stand in that waiting room, praying, wishing, and wanting that control. I know that so many of you reading this are going through so much. But still - multiple times a day, no matter what we go through, we bless and praise Hashem for the most beautiful thing - “Shehakol Nihiyeh Bidvaro” - that everything will be how Hashem (Gd) plans it to be. Because when we know that Hashem is planning our lives, when we surrender, when we trust fully and give the reins to Hashem…. it isn’t just the most freeing thing in the world, it’s the most beautiful thing in the world. And that is one of the greatest parts of being a Jew.
That we know.
We aren’t the ones who make the plans.
We aren’t the ones in control.
But Hashem - He is. He’s got us. He’s holding us tight.
Everything will be how Hashem plans it to be. ✨
And I know that if Hashem is the one in control, I’m better than good. I’m confident. I’m more than ok.
And that, my friends, is something to celebrate. 🙌🏼
I hope this song makes you dance, feel, and reminds you every day not just to let go, but to celebrate just how lucky we are to have Hashem to trust in. 🥰
All my love,
Shaindy 🩷
