It’s worth noting that you’d never see a men’s fishing product marketed with a slogan like “Fish like a Boy” — and for good reason. Phrases like “Fish like a Girl” may be well-intentioned, but they unintentionally send the message that women are a novelty in the sport rather than equal participants. I’d encourage brands to move toward messaging that simply celebrates fishing — no gender qualifiers needed. Please reshare the daylights out of this. You may have already taken a fly fishing 101 class or haven’t been on the water in many moons. We want to polish your skills and get you ready for the summer ahead. Day one we are I’ll primarily be in the classroom or on the casting field, days two and three will primarily be all on the water. We may be fishing the rivers on the west side of Yellowstone National Park, like the Firehole, Madison and Gibbon or we could be wading the Madison River below Earthquake Lake.
