I had the pleasure and pride to be a part of @imprintaustralia ‘STAYING WITH THE TROUBLE’, an exhibition and fundraiser for humanitarian aid in Palestine. The art shown, the words spoken, the community driven goal, it’s all so very important and full of love. Thank you to the fellow artists, and to Tom for curating and organizing this amazing exhibition. And to my loved ones that kept me company on the night. 🩶 Photos by @tomcrafts STAYING WITH THE TROUBLE 20/02/2026 @rofestreet

Staying with the Trouble Artist Feature : Emerson Cook

This artwork will be featured at Rofe Street Gallery, 20th February from 6-9PM

Emerson Cook is a self taught, multidisciplinary artist working on Gadigal land. They work with mediums such as oil paints, graphite, ink as well as mixed media works. Themes that emerge in her work are centred around the relationship that oneself and others have with the body, an analysis of the small everyday items that may be unnoticed and a love of the abundant flora surrounding us. This piece explores the dialogue between myself, my body and others relationship towards the both of those. The creation of this work became a meditative experience where compassion was felt inwards, an heir of respect for the body and self that is often lost and needs intention to be found, was found. The dialogue now felt new and open.
