Celebrating 12 years of FJK Dance 💫
What a dream come true. From our very first steps to where we stand today, this journey has been fueled by passion, purpose, and the belief that art has the power to unite us all.
At FJK Dance, we are deeply committed to continuing our performances and community outreach in New York City and around the world—striving to make a positive difference and share a message of peace, hope, and inspiration. We believe in art and its ability to bring people together across all differences.
This dream would not be possible without the incredible artists who have shaped it—beginning with our cofounder @sevinceviker Sevin Ceviker, and every founding and board member who has contributed over the years.
Thank you to our artists.
Thank you to our audiences.
Thank you to our supporters.
Stay tuned for exciting programming coming in Summer and Fall 2026 in New York City. The journey continues ✨
With gratitude,

Gratitude post 🤍
I’m deeply thankful for dance and its healing power on every level ❤️🩹 This season of my life has been truly transformative, and I feel incredibly honored to have the support and mentorship of @ginagibney as I continue the journey with @fjkdance .
My passion to create and inspire keeps growing, and I’m so excited for the 2026 season as a proud “Moving Towards Justice Fellow” with @gibneydance . This opportunity arrives at such a meaningful time—one of growth, reflection, and healing. My goal is to expand community engagement and share my culture and heritage through dance, from NYC to the world. I’ll be announcing upcoming studio showings and interactive performances very soon.
This gift came during a pivotal moment in my recovery from shoulder surgery this past January. Being back in the studio feels cathartic—it’s where dreams come alive. I’m so grateful for my body’s resilience and healing, and I can’t wait to share that sense of hope with you all on stage again.
Thank you @ginagibney and @harknesscenterfordanceinjuries for your guidance and support during this time.
I’m also honored to be on the hosting committee for the Gibney Dance Company Gala! Save the date: 4/7/2026 💫 I would love for you to join us in celebrating this incredible community of artists at @gibneycompany —DM me for ticket info.
With love and dance,
Fadi

So proud to finally share the recap video edit of my work on FJK Dance – Season 2025 ✨🖤
On June 17–18, 2025, @fjkdance FJK Dance took the stage at New York Live Arts @nylivearts Theater in New York City for an extraordinary celebration of art and humanity. This season showcased three powerful works rooted in peacebuilding, inclusivity, and the belief that dance can bridge cultures and challenge societal norms.
Honored to have shaped this season through choreography, costumes, visual art, projection, set design, and the video edit, what #nyc a dream come true. Creating this recap felt like reliving the energy, vulnerability, and collective spirit that filled the theater those nights.

Fall 2025 Choreographer FADI KHOURY
.
As the Artistic Director and co-founder of FJK Dance, Khoury is dedicated to creating cross-cultural dialogue through choreography and visual art. Born in Baghdad, Iraq, Fadi was immersed from an early age in the folkloric music and dance traditions of the Arab world. By seventeen, he was dancing professionally with the renowned Rahbani Musical Theatre while studying at the Lebanese Fine Arts University. After moving to the United States in 2009, he received a scholarship to train at the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, where he worked with choreographers such as Elisa Monte, Earl Mosley, Venti Petrov, and Edward Simon. He also toured nationally and internationally with NY2Dance. In 2014, alongside Sevin Ceviker, he founded FJK Dance to integrate his diverse influences into a unique and cohesive choreographic vision. FJK Dance has since premiered numerous critically acclaimed productions. Beyond the stage, Fadi has committed himself to community-based work. He currently serves as the first-ever Dance Artist-in-Residence at Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn. Through his ongoing volunteer work in the Behavioral Health Services division, Khoury uses dance and visual art as a vehicle to fight stigma and promote healing in mental health spaces. Fadi J. Khoury’s life-long dedication to dance, combined with his multicultural roots and passion for community engagement, continues to shape an artistic legacy that is as inclusive as it is transformative.
.
Make sure to watch an excerpt from Fadi’s piece “DABKE” on November 16th. Tickets are available for purchase at the link in our bio.
