Our Holiday Bazaar has started!! ❤️ (A fundraiser for the Music Therapy Program at Gilchrist Hospice of Towson) Local handmade jewelry, handmade bowls, handmade knit blankets and slippers, Fivex3 t-shirts and sweatshirts and White Paws Runmitts!! Proceeds from ALL sales will go to the Music Therapy Program at Gilchrist Hospice at Towson. This sale will run at Fivex3 Training from Monday, December 1 - Monday, December 22nd. We will have items for sale MWF mornings from 9:30am - 12:30pm and M-Friday from 4:30-8pm and on Saturday from 9am - 12:30pm. Gilchrist was founded as the nonprofit Hospice of Baltimore in 1994, and then joined forces with Hospice Services of Howard County three years later. In 1996, the organization opened its first inpatient hospice center, Gilchrist Center Towson. As a result of increased demand for acute inpatient hospice care, in 2009, the center was expanded from 24 to 34 beds. Then, in 2011, Gilchrist Center Howard County opened, our 10-bed inpatient hospice center in Columbia. More recently, in 2014, Gilchrist took over management of the only residential inpatient hospice center in Baltimore and renamed it Gilchrist Center Baltimore. Since its founding and still today, Gilchrist has relied on the contributions of many individuals, foundations and organizations throughout Maryland. This continued support helps cover the costs of care that are not funded or fully funded by Medicare, Medicaid or private insurers. Also, these contributions help cover the costs of care for individuals with no insurance or special programs like music therapy and child life support. #fivex3 #baltimorestrong #givingbacktothecommunity #charmcity #holidaysales #bazaars #holidaybazaar #handmadewithlove❤️ #shoplocally

Jordan @jordan_barbellmedicine dropping knowledge bombs like it’s hot. 💣👊 Take it from someone who got this diagnosis over 20 years ago…and was NOT training yet. Just dancing. Then 16 years ago, had the worst back episode of her life, started deadlifting and getting serious about training and is living pain free now. You are NOT made of glass. You will NOT break if you start strength training. You will be UNBREAKABLE if you start. No one is too fragile of body to train. Only fragile of mind. Mic drop. 🎤 Repost @jordan_barbellmedicine If you’ve ever been told lifting is bad for your back or you’re too fragile to lift, this one’s for you. The MRI finding, the bent-over position, the weight on the bar. The story sounds airtight, but the data says otherwise. What did your doctor or PT tell you about lifting and your back? Drop it below.

She is 💯 correct. Capable strength. Independent strength. Real strength. Just like Christine, Mona also has capable strength. Real strength. At 88, she’s thriving. YOU can too. Get stronger. Today. Repost @christinehobson60 Real strength is often the quiet kind. The ability to move confidently through the world matters more than people realise. What one thing would you never want to lose the ability to do? #activeageing #StrengthForLife #Longevity #stayactive healthyageing

Esther has been dealing with some shoulder impingement for a few months. We’ve modified her squat by using the cambered bar and doing the Viking press instead of a barbell press. She’s doing stretches and most importantly, she’s still training and she’s being PATIENT. This is the hardest part of an injury or tweak or anything that makes training more challenging. PATIENCE. We want to be better right away. We don’t want to have to deal with this. We are frustrated. We are pissed. But there is ALWAYS a way to keep moving, keep pushing, keep training. You just have to trust the process. Esther did. And each day, she would get under the bar and while it was uncomfortable and stressful on the shoulder, she would stretch it, hold it there as long as she could. Then do it again. Yesterday, she got right under the bar and started squatting. It felt great. Sure, she’s high bar squatting right now, but she could not even get into THAT position three weeks ago. So progress beyond progress. She’ll be back to a low bar squat in no time. ☺️ Moral of the story is have patience. Don’t give up. Don’t throw your hands up and give in. The body is resilient. Learn to trust it. And be PATIENT. #fivex3 #baltimorestrong #strongwomen #trusttheprocess🙏 #getstrongertoday

THIS IS WHY STRENGTH TRAINING MATTERS! 🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌 Do yourself a favor and start picking up weights. Today. We can help. 💪 Repost @christinehobson60 Most people picture something else … But this is what strength is actually for. It’s not about lifting more. It’s about making everyday life easier. What do you use your strength for every day? #activeageing #functionalfitness #ageingwell #stayactive #strength

Week 2 of Training. Week of April 26, 2026. 2 weeks post hip replacement surgery. 😁 Today, I am three weeks out post op. Every day things feel better and better. Every day I can do more and more. It’s a true testament to the strength I had going into the surgery. I was back to work coaching one week out from surgery. Needed rides to and from the gym. Did partial days thanks to my awesome coaches so I was able to rest after my mornings on some days. This is my first week back to morning and evening sessions. Keep moving. Stay positive. Stay strong. #fivex3 #baltimorestrong #hipreplacementsurgery #hipreplacementrecovery #getstrongertoday

Gail fractured her fibula taking out the recycling one morning a few weeks ago. 🤦‍♀️ Ahhh, yes, the old recycling injury. She stepped down funny, rolled her ankle and fell. Glad it was just the fibula!! She was back in the gym about a week later and we got her back to business as usual. What else are you gonna do? 😁🤷🏼‍♀️ Stronger is better. And movement is medicine. 💪

Our 2026 Charm City Strongwoman Fundraising campaign has started!! Charm City Strongwoman was born from love and loss. This contest honors my sister, Charlotte Giza, who lived fiercely through 3½ years with colon cancer before passing on February 11, 2015. She was my inspiration, my other half, and the reason this event exists. We also compete in memory of two more incredible women: Jan Avengine, a FiveX3 member who passed from terminal cancer on February 2, 2022, and Olivia Graham, wife of our own Joy Holland, who died from metastatic breast cancer in September 2025. These women were strong, fierce, and lived life to the fullest. We miss them terribly. This contest is for them. This is our final Charm City Strongwoman. After 15 years, we’re closing this chapter with gratitude. Thank you to every competitor, volunteer, and supporter. There would not have been a Charm City Strongwoman Contest without YOU. Please help me support Ulman Foundation by making a donation through my page. The process is fast, easy and secure. Thanks so much for your support... and please don’t forget to send this page to any friends you think might be interested in donating! Link to my page is in our bio!!

Menopause and Eating Disorders: An interview with Dr. Lynette Ewart In today’s episode, I sit down with my friend and former online client, Dr. Lynette Ewart of Prescription Strength @prescription_strength_uk to discuss a subject that I honestly had no idea was a “thing” until I watched a clip of hers discussing eating disorders among middle aged women. It was a huge eye opener for me. I asked Lynette if she would sit down for a talk about this important subject and she said yes. Take a listen. /us/podcast/fivex3-radio/id1513031060?i=1000763842686 #fivex3 #baltimorestrong #menopause #weightlossforwomen #eatingdisorderawareness
