The 5’s is launching their Planteray Single Cask Rum in true style!
This Trinidad Rum has been aged 3 years in Bourbon barrels, 5 years in Cognac Cask (that’s a lot of Continental aging, but 5’s. Right?) and an additional 10 months in Armarik French Single Malt casks. It’s as unique as the house that’s featuring it, and the only place in NOLA you can find it!!

the layout is my favorite. picture this: we’re all strangers, shoulder to shoulder, sitting together around an oval bar that’s basically the size of the entire place. the mixologists are running the show right in the middle. calm, collective and quietly doing their thing but don’t feel the need to prove it (if you know what i mean)
hands down the best raw oysters in the city. some briny, some sweet. cold, clean and fresh. every. single. time. and dangerously easy to keep ordering, making you forget what your original plans were. the added bumps of caviar are so decadent and so worth it
this is your sign to sit at the bar, talk to someone you weren’t planning on talking to and let new orleans do the rest
(also the le labo hand soap / hand cream combo in their restroom is just so elite. i don’t know who approved that budget but thank you)

Nestled on Jackson Square in the French Quarter, Fives is delightful and cozy cocktail + raw bar that you’ll want to keep coming back to. As many times as I come to New Orleans, this visit was way overdue.
