Years ago, our sales rep finished his presentation, paused, looked at me and said: "There is... one other denim. It is the masterpiece denim. Do you want to see it?"
I was there with my buddy Kris (@dyeandfade ). Did we want to see it? WTF kinda question is that!?
That's the day our MasterPiece Denim was born. 15oz Japanese selvedge, red cast indigo, generous slub. Born to fade.
We've built our D15 jeans from it for years. Now it becomes something new.

Three generations of my family have called this borough home. And when I look at our jeans, at our Brooklyn Dragon logo, the Bridge stitched into every rear pocket and the Brooklyn Sunrise waistband button, I don’t see a place, I see an idea.
Brooklyn has always been a borough of makers, immigrants, artists, and people who do things their own way. That energy lives in our jeans. The diversity, the creativity, the joy and the grit ALL shows up in our work.
We're not Brooklyn because of a zip code. Brooklyn is a state of mind. It’s how we choose to live our lives.

To become great at sewing, it’s not just reps, though reps matter. There’s no shortcut for practice.
But eventually you realize sewing at a high level requires something different. It requires *problem solving*.
When I quit my job in 2014 to sew jeans, I had no idea what I was doing. Becoming good took years, sitting in a basement sewing one pair at a time. That’s hard work.
But becoming great takes another level of thought and consideration.
At FITTED, our goal is to make clothes without compromise. Better AND faster. That’s the challenge. Solving for both is the work. Like anything worth doing right:
PRACTICE + CONSIDERATION = GREATNESS
So don’t just practice sewing. Practice problem solving.

Raw denim isn't just about clothes; it's about community.
Yeah, we love great jeans and great fades. But that just got us *down* the rabbit hole. There's a whole community down here.
Taking time to *really* connect in a hyper “connected” world; that's what it's all about. From first-time customers to longtime friends, like my guy @lucaszfitz , the people who walk through our doors become our friends and are what makes FITTED what it is today.

Once washed unsanforized 13oz selvedge denim from Japan with BEAUTIFUL character and teal color. This is a unique, truly special fabric.
This loomstate denim — or "kibata" in Japanese) — has not gone through the sanforization process. The upshot? The fabric hasn't been pre-shrunk and the yarns have not been singed, preserving maximum character. However, the denim has been rinsed once to remove excess shrinkage.

Making the D17 Teal Kibata.
Cut, sewn, and finished in our Williamsburg workshop.
Our D13 Teal Kibata is built from 100% Japanese selvedge denim with a slubby vertical warp, beige weft, and classic red selvedge ID. Packed with character from the start and designed to wear in even better over time.
“Kibata” refers to unsanforized denim in its most natural state. The fabric has not been pre-shrunk and the yarns have not been singed, preserving the texture, irregularity, and character that make fabrics like this so special. Ours is rinsed once to remove excess shrinkage, while keeping everything that gives the denim its depth.
This is the process behind the pair.

The Chelsea Twill Selvedge workshirts dropped a little more than a week ago featuring some of our favorite details: pure brass buttons, triple stitched felled seams, chainstitch runoff and hidden collar buttons.
We’ve already sold out of the green selvedge twill, and the tan and navy are going fast as well. We appreciate everyone’s support and continued interest in our products!
