Women need strength training. Not for aesthetics, but for health, performance and longevity.
For a long time, strength simply wasn’t always my priority.
Not because I didn’t care about fitness, quite the opposite.
I genuinely loved cardio. Coaching many hours on the bike, moving constantly, leaning into endurance training and simply enjoying that type of movement.
And different seasons of life come with different priorities.
But over time, I felt the shift. While I was maintaining a baseline of strength, my heavy endurance volume was taking a center stage. I realized that to truly walk the talk and feel the way I advocate in my classes, I needed to move strength from the background to the forefront.
So for the last year, I’ve intentionally deepened my commitment: moving beyond just ‘keeping up’ my strength to making it the foundation of my training again.
And 6 months ago, I hired a PT. Because even trainers need a trainer to stay accountable, pushed, and objective.
Working with @marilena_nl has been a game changer in rebuilding that foundation.
Not to chase perfection.
Not to shrink myself.
Not to look a certain way.
But to feel strong.
To support my health.
To improve performance.
To feel capable and energised in my body.
And honestly? I feel stronger than I have in a long time.
This is also my reminder to every woman:
Strength training matters.
Because muscle matters.
For your hormones.
For your metabolism.
For bone health.
For confidence.
For long-term wellbeing.
For moving through life feeling strong.
You don’t need to do it perfectly.
You just need to stay consistent.
Because real progress is built through showing up, again and again 🤍

This year I chose balance.
To find myself again.
I kept coaching because I love it.
But there were moments that drained me so much
I forgot about my own training and health.
So I changed my coaching schedule
and what I coach too.
I changed how I train and recover.
Strength became a priority again.
Running became something I genuinely enjoy.
Not to chase trends or extremes,
just to feel healthy, grounded, and present.
Practicing what I advocate.
Continuing from here, one step at a time 🏃♀️✨

Our first Mobility x Padel event was an absolute vibe🔥From the mobility movement, the laughs, the drills, the games … everything just clicked 💙 Already excited for the next one!
21km. My first half marathon.❤️🔥
I started running again only six months ago, after years of avoiding it. I have always been fit, but running was never really my thing. I wanted to prove to myself that I could do it , and I did!
My goal was a sub 2h and I crossed the line in 1:54.
The first 15 km felt light and fun, then things got serious. The real fight wasn’t in the middle like I expected, but in the last 3 km where I had to really push through to keep the pace. My legs carried me and my mind didn’t quit.
Every run got me here. The early mornings, the small improvements, the long run Sundays I ended up loving, they all added up.
This won’t be the last one. I’m already looking forward to the next, where I want to run even faster.⚡️

Ever had a day where your body surprises you in the best way?
That was me at this event.
After 2 hours of coaching indoor cycling in the morning, I spent the rest of the day moving, connecting, and soaking up the energy. I felt stronger than ever 💥
Grateful for this body, this community, and the reminder that movement is a gift ✨
Treat your body like the temple it is. It’ll always show up for you 🫶
Big thanks to @playhousefit for creating space for BIPOC coaches, and to @mukulux for capturing these moments so beautifully🎥
