Grimes' Leap Day show at Lambert's in 2012 - what to say about this one. I spent most of the day with Grimes and fellow Montreal artists Born Gold as we walked around downtown, getting into trouble, playing badminton and making photos. I even subbed as a roadie, loading gear into Lambert's via their back elevator. Claire was in the infancy of her career and at times shy but mostly was just a cool person to spend time with.
Here's a little clip from that night's show.
Coming up on a decade of working the iHeartCountry music fest in Austin and it's always a blast working with the team. I've made some great friends through the years, both at the original location at the Frank Erwin Center and the current home at the Moody Center. Thankful to Rachel and the team for bringing me back year after year.
The unstoppable Hayley Williams from night two of her Bachelorette Party tour, as seen from the crowd through my digital point and shoot. A show worthy of a repeat viewing for sure - let's hope for a Houston add-on in the second leg.
Courtney Barnett moments from her jam packed show last night at Radio East. She never ceases to amaze me and it's a real treat to get to photograph the band.

Norwegian black metal legends, Emperor, hit Radio East on Friday for their only Texas stop. It was loud and thunderous and wet and very packed, as expected. Thrilled to have caught this set!!

Excellent final night of the Farmer's Wife residency at 29th Street Ballroom. Loving this series that Resound is putting on there (they've got Good Looks later this month). Personally, I've noticed an unintentional absence from shooting locally and whenever I've gone out recently to photograph Austin bands, it's been really rewarding. Hot Summer Nights is just around the corner.. 🤔
A few shots of French Film from their opening slot during the final night of the Farmer's Wife residency at 29th Street Ballroom. First time seeing them and they were great - nice shoegaze vibes. Definitely going to check them out again.
A million thanks to Spotify for having me out to Stubb's a couple weeks ago for their 20th anniversary party ft. none other than the iconic Alanis Morissette. If ya stayed to the end, you were treated to a cameo by St. Vincent who went on to DJ after Alanis. Killer night, classic SXSW showcase.
Been a big fan of the Howdy Gals and all they do for our music community here and now on the coasts in San Francisco and NYC. I was so exhausted from six straight days of SXSW work but rallied, thankfully, because they threw a banger of a party on Wednesday night at Hole in the Wall. I can't remember if this was event five or six for the gals but it was incredible. Loved seeing that kind of energy flow through the Hole.
