When I started hosting @javajamnyc I understood the importance and responsibility of having to develop a space for people to feel safe, creative, and open. @firstliveus has been my home for the last few years of my life: I’ve made mistakes, rapped my best and worst verses, met lovers and friends, and learned more about being human within those four walls than anywhere else. As javajam moves forward into a new chapter @isolabrooklyn I will always remember that live room in the back of Firstlive- the Joy, community, and growth. Thank you to Firstlive for providing me with a lab to experiment, and I’m excited to see what the future holds as you close at the end of this year.
