From the moment I met Makenna, her energy was absolutely magnetic — and watching Connor light up every time she walked into the room? That’s was amazing! Their families made this day feel like the biggest, warmest celebration, and that bright citrus palette against the ocean views at La Valencia was perfect. So honored to have been there for this one.
It started with a moment that could have easily been overlooked.
A music festival.
A kimono.
Something small that turned into a reason to keep talking.
And from there, it just kept building.
A shared rhythm of festivals, games, weekends away, the kind of connection that grows naturally when two people just fit.
By the time the wedding came around, it already felt clear who they were together.
A day at @julepvenue that did not try to be anything else.
A ceremony that kept what mattered.
A reception that leaned fully into the energy.
Nothing overcomplicated.
Just a celebration that actually felt like them.

Seven years ago, this started with a swipe.
Not really the part people talk about later... but somehow, it led to everything.
Since then, it’s been a mix of big adventures and quiet commitment.
Hiking Half Dome.
Long seasons of medical school.
The kind of support that does not always get seen, but changes everything.
She was on her way to becoming an Internal Medicine physician.
He has been right there with her, making decisions that keep them moving forward together.
And now it all leads here.
A wedding at The Prado in Balboa Park, a place that already meant something long before this day.
This is not just where they are getting married.
It is where a lot of her story already lives.
They are bringing 35 of their closest people into that.
Which makes it feel even more personal.
