Bassline for this week: Vultures by @johnmayer , from his album Continuum. A @pino_palladino_official_ classic, this is a simple yet perfectly constructed line that meshes so well with the song. The live version of this is honestly even better than the record (Where The Light Is: John Mayer Live in Los Angeles, 2008). Pino does some palm muting on this one with his p bass and the tone is just so nice. Still stuck in my room ‘cause I caught covid at Coachella so maybe I’ll post some more things in the next few days since there’s not much to do lol.

Jump starting this weekly bassline thing again. This one is Foxy Lady - Pleasure, bass played by Nathaniel Philips. Pleasure came out of Portland, OR and had a hit with their song Glide (which is another super funky slap bass song), so I wanted to show some love to a hometown band.
