I started Finegraphy, because I was exactly where you are. In 2015, a friend handed me a camera at a festival in Amsterdam. I didnāt know it would change my life. I moved to Vancouver, fell in love with photography, and realized pretty quickly that growing as a creative on your own is lonely. Thatās why Finegraphy exists. Not because I have all the answers, but because I know what it feels like to need a space like this and not have one. If youāve been thinking about showing up, this is your sign. This is a behind-the-scenes look at my beauty photography process, from creative direction to finding the shot.
Iām sharing the messy BTS, the trial and error, and how collaboration between my instructions and the modelās ideas brings a beauty shoot to life. I didnāt film every setup, but this is a typical flow of what refining the perfect product shot looks like.
In the end, I chose a different image (no pencil cap š), but I wanted to show the process anyway ā because the magic happens between the frames.
