So that was a wild night. Insane consumes, interactive art installations, and plenty of surprises! I had no idea what was in store.

Back in October, the @amryta_pdx crew took over Bounce Thursday at @lunabarpdx 🕺
Went b2b with @finding_snow and had an absolute blast. Good music, great energy, all the vibes❗️

I’d love to hear your thoughts. Feeling stuck since Finding Snow is fundamentally a dance project, yet I have a shit load of not dance music I’m super excited about
I’ve been struggling with my creativity for as long as I can remember. I always feel pulled in so many different directions: I love so many different kinds of digital art and music that I’m pulled in every direction.
It gets overwhelming so often I just give up and scroll on my phone. Days will go by and Ableton, Touchdesigner, and Resolve will remain unopened.
The lesson I’m learning is that your truest creativity comes from focus: pick something that interests you in this moment and devote yourself entirely to it until you reach a skill level that can adequately express your vision. Then do it some more.
What’s your other option? Noodling on random things, jumping from one project to another?
I promise you, taking a month to primarily focus on photography, then video editing, then playing piano, DJing, singing, etc will yield better results than spending the same duration doing all of them at the same time.
Of course, this focus doesn’t need to be absolute and it shouldn’t be, but if we didn’t apply any disciple to our creativity we wouldn’t end up creating much.
Hello so excited to play at Wonderlove tomorrow! Playing with my good buddy @leftoffburnside at 5pm. Unfortunately instagram cropped away @dissonantflux who is opening us at 2pm
