It's taken a hot minute to share these, but I just want to say a massive thank you to all the
@psychicvision.s guys for having me and The Dying Knight at Anthology II last week. Creating this film has been simultaneously one of the most fun and one of the most challenging experiences of my life.
I've been making films since I was a young child fascinated by my dad's camcorder, but this was only my second attempt at creating something festival-worthy, with a cast and crew of seasoned pros who - for whatever reason! - put their faith in me. After finding my feet as a director on The Mechanical, which I was thrilled to take to the first Anthology last year, The Dying Knight felt far more ambitious and a far more confident expression of my voice. It threw up a host of new obstacles, but also plenty of exciting new opportunities. I've emerged from this experience feeling like I'm ten times the filmmaker I was going in - something I put down to getting to work with each and every one of the stunningly skilled, talented, dedicated cast and crew members I was blessed with on this project, all of whom I consider the most remarkable inspirations.
It was wonderful to see the film so warmly received and a genuine honour to have it screened alongside such an incredible lineup. I am in awe of every filmmaker I got to share the spotlight with. Huge congrats to
@monsterbash.film for the thoroughly deserved Audience Favourite win and to
@creaky.door.in.the.night for winning Most On Theme for a magnificent stop-motion rendition of The Raven.
It was also great to get to share the first teaser for my next project: the comedy play, The Woman Who Shot People Too Much! For more on that, check out

Very excited to start taking The Dying Knight on the festival circuit, but immensely proud to have premiered it at what I think is probably Norwich's most exciting, welcoming and inspiring film event. Platforms for independent filmmakers run by independent filmmakers are so important - this is how we build our own industry and ensure there is always a space for the stories we want to tell.
Didn't think I'd ramble on so much! I'm not sorry.
