This Japanese tale is adapted by Kanji Segawa, my creative associate, and dramaturg for this show, and our collaborators include PNB’s own Meleta Buckstaff for costume Design @meletabea Reed Nakayama for lighting design and soloist dancer @yukitkhs as set design illustrator! This production features live music performed by Seattle’s own @japan_creative_arts with Taiko youth performers from @school_of_taiko led by Ringtaro Tateishi and Asako Tateishi, as well as PNB’s own Don Vollema, pianist. Narrated by @walkerbrad our production of Momotaro is the perfect introduction to ballet for young audiences!
