You asked, we pestered, we then got impatient, we helped write, and then we finalised: What’s Coming? 2026 @ FIIK. Listed you will find all of our menu titles and dates for the year ahead. A few favourites will be returning such as Ou Est le Poulet, Here’s a little Fishy and Chat GPT. And then lots of new fun themes such as Chippy Tea, One Does Not Simply Walk Into Mordor and 24th-28th March (name to be confirmed) our space themed menu in collaboration with real life Astronaughts. It’s set to be another action packed year and we cannot wait to welcome you. If you have any questions regarding any of the dates or titles, please do not hesitate to contact us. To oyster, or not to oyster 🦪 It wouldn’t be a fishy menu without an oyster dish and whilst our tempura oysters are shucking delicious, we know they aren’t for everyone! Each menu offers a supplement course to suit every palate and appetite; that’s on both the lunch and dinner service 🤌🏼 Here’s a quick reminder of our service times: Tuesday-Thursday 5-9:30pm Friday-Saturday 12-4:45pm / 5-9:30pm Lunch: 4 courses £25pp Dinner: 6 courses £45pp *£10 supplement course

@tripleafoodtours On friday we had the pleasure of being invited to one of the Durham food tours by @tripleafoodtours and what an amazing experience it was. Each tour they do is curated and built around local businesses which is fantastic. Our tour guide for the day was the lovely Sharon, warm and friendly, we met at market square and were given some history about the city which was great to learn some things we didn't know about Durham. Our first stop was to @durhammarkets where we visited @market_hall_wines , we all got some samples of different kinds of mead paired with some dark chocolates which worked fantastic together, they have such an extensive collection of wines from around the world, craft beers, artisan gin and small batch whiskies. We also had a shot of whisky at 54%ABV, which definitely warmed us up for the day 🤣🤣 Next stop was to @gusstodurham for a glass of wine and a charcuterie board each, such a stunning building, a hidden gem located on silver street, the cured meats and cheese were perfectly paired. We then visited @cellardoorkitchen where we got to sample some wonderful starter dishes, ranging from oysters, olives and bread to a sumak chicken dish and grilled hispi cabbage, the red wine we got was fantastic, all dishes bursting with flavour. The next stop was @rabbitholedurham just a small stroll along from the Elvet bridge, this place is stunning inside, they offer Cantonese style food, we had an absolute feast of roasted peking duck with pancakes, dim sum tower, roasted belly pork and spring rolls, all which were delicious. Our final stop of the tour was @fiik_durham for dessert which we got 2 desserts with wine pairing, both desserts presented very well, the dark chocolate with coconut sorbet was gorgeous, the 'free the berry' dessert equally as good, the strawberry sorbet very refreshing. We had a fantastic day, with some great company, we throughly enjoyed the day from start to finish, these tours are incredible value for money for what you get,a drink in each location with superb food and learning some history about Durham along the way. This one’s been a big hit on our little fishy menu… Crustacean Nation. It’s Thai green kataifi king prawn, lemongrass, coconut, coriander and spring onion 🦐 If you’ve dining with us for this menu, let us know your favourite course! Because who’s to say there won’t be a Little Fishy 3.0 in 2027… 🤌🏼

EATS OUT: @fiik_durham On a whim, and amongst varying degrees of ‘tasting menu’ and small plates restaurants in Durham, FIIK provides an accessible experience for diners looking for a step beyond the otherwise seemingly unadventurous local standard à la carte offering. An efficient interior belies a passionate and caring service and menu. Will & Shade were charming and informative, though might have benefitted from another pair of hands as the restaurant filled up; latter courses were delivered with an air of the stacking touch-points across the room, but I imagine I wouldn’t have noticed if I were in company. Opting for the full-send of the current menu and its wine pairing, each course and accompanying drop is lightly described and I’m left to enjoy (I’ve posted the menu at the end). Generally delicious and mostly hits, it’s difficult to fault the level of cooking at this price point, and where the attention to detail slips slightly in one or two places, it is made up for with the fun and frivolity of others. An extra point for the on-theme playlist (and no, it wasn’t ALL sea-shanties). Standout ‘Crustacean Nation’ which I could have happily smashed fourteen of. A lovely, fun way to spend a couple of hours, and definitely a place to return to for another of their shifting menus. #Durham #TastingMenu #Review

Ceviche Me Rolling 🤤 Seabass, lime, blood orange, compressed melon, red onion, pomegranate, basil This menu is a pretty light one (compared to our usual fare) so perfect on a gorgeous sunny Durham day! Pair with a crisp glass (or bottle) of white and we’re on 🤌🏼
