💚 Founded by Rosy Benson in 2020, Field Bakery is based at
@gothelneyfarm in Somerset, where she collaborates with farmer Fred Price to bring you artisanal delights rooted in sustainability. 🌿
💚 A seasoned baker of many years, Rosy gained experience in Bristol & London (including at
@e5bakehouse ), before she began offering workshops to share her sourdough mastery and champion locally grown grains. 🌾
💚 Today, Field Bakery has blossomed and alongside the workshops (which include a field visit with Fred), there’s a Bread Club, farm events, and a new mill where Rosy produces wholesale stone-milled wholegrain flour for select bakeries and restaurants in London. 🫓
💚 As part of the UK Grain Lab (
@uk_grain_lab ) and South West Grain Network (
@swgrainnetwork ) approach to reimagine the grain chain and embed diversity in the farm, Fred and Rosy are working together exploring and multiplying varieties of grain that express unique flavour, nutrition and distinctive traits suited to low input farming. Building new and supporting existing population wheats, intercropping and under-sowing wherever possible.
