We’re honored and so grateful to have four projects recognized in the 2026 STA 100, alongside stunning work by some of our design colleagues and heroes. Among the winners are the brand identities we designed for the Terra Foundation for American Art @terraamericanart , Marble Wit—an independent creative research consultancy for scientific organizations, and Cairo-based Seeds & Routes Coffee @seedsandroutes We’re particularly thrilled that our risograph zine, Five Years in the Field, took home an award as well. There’s nothing quite like the joy of making something you can hold in your hands, mail to your friends, and pick up from the shelf when you need a reminder. Thank you @typographic_arts and all of this year’s judges.

An initiative of our partner, @terraamericanart , Art Design Chicago has sponsored transformative exhibitions and events, designed to catalyze co-creation and stimulate expansive dialogues about the impact of the arts in community spaces. We had the pleasure of designing a beautiful print booklet chock full of case studies that demonstrate the initiative’s impact over the years, along with an OOH campaign that showed up on city buses and transit stops. It was a joy to push the boundaries of ADC’s existing design system to uplift the vibrant dynamism of our local creative community. All hail the arts, long live design, Chicago forever.

We first partnered with the Terra Foundation for American Art in 2024 to transform the global grantmaker’s brand presence. Together we re-imagined the foundation’s creative strategy, core messaging and visual identity, while they continued apace in their vital work supporting cutting-edge, transdisciplinary art and artists in the U.S. and beyond.  To truly understand @terraamericanart ’s impact, look no further than the 2022-2025 Impact Report. We had the honor of designing this year’s edition, and took the chance to flex the new brand, creating spacious, sophisticated layouts where type, color, understated frames and layers, alongside photography, come together to shine a loving light on the visionaries and heart workers changing the face of American art.  #americanart #impactreport #brandidentity #designbywomen

“First and foremost, you have to take care of yourself. The world needs you. This community needs you. You are a survivor and how you survive is up to you. Just remember: emotional struggles and mood swings are a common response to trauma. You are not broken. You are human. And though we may not know each other, we share something in common—we deserve kindness, patience, and respect. We are worthy of it. And we can feel whole again. Especially when we speak and listen to each other. We can learn from one another. We can help each other heal.” In “How Trauma Affects Mood,” Kristin Lueke reminds us that the wide range of feelings we experience as survivors is not only valid—it’s expected, given everything we’ve been through. Some days, we feel every emotion at once; other days, we might feel nothing at all. Both are natural responses to trauma. ✨ 𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩’𝙨 𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙘𝙖𝙥𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚𝙨 𝙝𝙤𝙬 𝙮𝙤𝙪’𝙧𝙚 𝙛𝙚𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙧𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩 𝙣𝙤𝙬? 👇Drop it in the comments if you feel like sharing. Even a single word can remind someone else they’re not alone—and maybe help them open up too. → Click the link in bio to read the full resource. About the author: Kristin Lueke is a Chicana poet, essayist, and creative strategist, and a fierce advocate for dignity, joy, and collective action. She is the co-founder of Field of Practice (@field.ofpractice ), a hyper-competent design studio creating thoughtful, useful work for purpose-driven organizations. She writes a monthly newsletter called The Animal Eats. #trauma #mood #traumarecovery #survivors #survivorvoices #collectivehealing #bodywisdom #selfcompassion

Seeds & Routes—a worldly brand whose Egyptian roots run deep and strong. The founders came to us in search of a business card. We knew we could do so much more together. Big love to the Nazmi family for trusting the process and walking this path with us. The streamlined identity system was built to grow alongside the business—it’s simple yet elegant, soulful and scalable. We cannot wait to see where they go next.
