Introducing ‘Friend in Common’, a daytime gathering for the @ifyouseemeyouseeme and Studio Sessions community. It offers a break from the late-night setting, with an emphasis on music, conversation, and time spent together. It’s a more considered setting that reflects another side of what we’re building. The music is centered on dance, creating space for movement while still allowing for conversation and connection.
There will be no lineup announced for this event. We want the focus to stay on the experience itself, the people in the room, and the music as it unfolds throughout the day. We also ask that phones remain away as much as possible so everyone can be more present with one another.
Our first installment is on Saturday, May 23rd, at Eve from 4–9pm. Tickets are available through the link in our bio.

This really is a dream come true. I will be playing a reimagined version of my debut album Layers alongside my amazingly talented 11 piece all women band, 3 piece chamber orchestra, and 3 dancers dancing to different styles (ballet folklórico, salsa, and ballet) with some of the most talented, inspiring, beautiful, hardworking women I know. It’s truly a blessing to share the stage with such talent and we invite you to join us as we explore some of my favorite songs throughout the ages in reimagined formats paying homage to the giants and greats that inspire me in music while highlighting the complexities of the human experience through my afro cuban lens.
