Feeling inadequate? Have you ever been told not to feel that way and found that advice didn’t really help?
In this two-part talk and workshop, Casilda de Zulueta, Isabella Spitznagel, and Leonie Wolf invite participants to look beyond individual self-doubt and examine the wider systems that shape these experiences. Why is discomfort so often framed as a personal “syndrome”? And if so many people experience it, why is it usually treated as an individual problem rather than a structural one?
Together, the session will contextualize the idea of so-called “imposter syndrome,” unpack why it appears so frequently in creative and professional spaces, and explore who benefits when people question their own legitimacy. Through reflection, discussion, and collective exchange, participants will be encouraged to rethink internalized narratives and develop a shared language for resilience, solidarity, and change.
