For the third episode of our documentary series for offcult, I met @luciobene101 , joining him in the studio and in Berlin-Mitte, retracing the tracks of his youth. In addition, we were able to follow him around in Rio — a place close to his heart — bridging the gap and revealing two hearts beating on two continents. When the original The Devil Wears Prada aired, I was a teenager—more interested in graffiti and skateboarding than in the world it portrayed. Still, I remember watching it, not in the cinema but on the couch with my mom. Now TDWP 2 opens this week, and within the last 20 years I’ve built a career in more or less the field it captures. It’s small, yet full circle to see this. Happy to have shot the advertising for the collaboration between Disney and Mercedes-Maybach, remembering I didn’t think I would do this when I was still a kid. ❤️

The first half of last year I spent about 10 days shooting this somewhat narrative film for @faber_singt in different places all over Europe over the course of some month together with some of my closest friends. Thank you @julianjonas.s for framing my vision so beautifully, and to @studioelevenforty for making it work so well. This film is based on Faber’s album Addio and the emotional background to this piece, which him and I scripted out into this absurd narrative trying to grasp how this entanglement of feelings might look like. As I summed it up – Fleeing from the darker sides of his own personality, young Julian Vincenzo Pollina embarks on a bizarre journey where the boundaries between reality and fiction begin to blur. Amidst mysterious encounters and surreal experiences, he is forced to question whether he can escape the inevitable course of his fate — or if he is already doomed to it. During the early summer of last year, I had the beautiful opportunities to work on a project with @henryjacquesparfums for their latest collaboration with @heronpreston and @sabrina.albarello , who created and crafted a unique fragrance with this traditional house.
