So proud of this one. Thanks to @britishbeautycouncil and @beautyhairwellbeing_appg for trusting me with it - and to @victoria.brownlie and @m_vtornikov especially for all their help and support. I learnt so much from attending the in-person evidence-giving sessions and reading through all the written submissions, and I am so grateful for everyone who gave up their time to write down their thoughts or talk to us - not least the two people you’ll see here: @jessicazwebster who has been tirelessly campaigning on the issue of VAT and sunscreen for years, and @shane_lrs whose work with @melanomauk_official has done so much to raise the issue of the importance of UV protection for outdoor workers. As for @carolynharrismp - well if every MP was like her, I feel like the UK would be a far better place - it’s been a joy working with someone with such enthusiasm to get shit done and make change for the better. And her team, Jo and Ash are just as no nonsense and efficient. People have asked what they can do to support this. Well you can read the report (link in my bio) - or just skip to the recommendations. You can lobby your MP to get these recommendations to become legislation; you can talk to your kids’ schools and your workplaces about their sun safety strategy; brands and charities, you can talk to the British Beauty Council about becoming a part of the UV Safety coalition. Things need to change - and they will, but only with collective effort.

Always happy to turn out for the people that support me so obviously I was going to be at the @skinrocks popup to see @carolinehirons and what felt like most of London’s beauty press incl @emmaguns (who’s probably the reason this reel even exists). @amylerouxski and the rest of the SR PR team were out in force showing what professional PR really looks like - damn I wish she gave lessons in that stuff. Then it was off to @hershesons for a (comped - thank you @blanketlondon ) blow dry (& putting the world to rights) with the very talented @casparfinch . Is this sort of content in any way interesting to you? It’s very much NOT my natural milieu but if the people want it, I shall press on…

Back on the green screen to talk about my latest piece for @telegraph @telegraphbeauty which is all about extending your blow dry, inspired by @mdlondon , & modelled by the brilliant @davinamccall . Loved working on this one and being able to hero some of my favourite @mdlondon style extenders, as well as my top picks from @colorwowhair , @hairbysammcknight and @livingproofuk . An incredible day out with @cliniqueuk who is the official beauty partner for the @redrosesrugby @featuresjourno and I were invited to the @allianztwickenham to watch the England team take on Ireland. It was a win for The Red Roses and a record attendance of 77,120 watching the game. It’s brilliant seeing women’s sport thriving and to see a brand like Clinique championing confidence at every level of the sport. Also, we could not have received a warmer welcome from @rosie_galligan who spent time with us today and @marlie_packer who bounded up the stadium stairs without getting out of breath, to say ‘Hi!’ to us all. An absolutely brilliant day out! Ad pr event

Yesterday I joined @ritalavalerie for a masterclass on Active Ingredients 101 at @theordinary ’s East London pop-up. Basically fulfilled all my dreams of being a chemistry teacher 😂 Really enjoyed talking about some of my favourite ingredients and one of my favourite chapters in “Ingredients”, the book I helped The Ordinary write. When @No7uk launched Future Renew in April 2023, I wrote about it for @thetimes and @metro.co.uk . It was one of the first genuine innovations in skincare that I’d seen in a really long time that got me properly excited. I won’t wang on about it here but the way the peptides were identified and selected was properly ground breaking — scroll back far enough on my Insta and the LinkTree link in my bio and you’ll find it if you want to know more. Just as importantly, the results people got from using it were really impressive. Slightly predictably, it was one of their biggest launches ever, so a body range was almost inevitable. That body range launched yesterday and @claiester asked me to have a look at it for @metro.co.uk If you click on the link in my bio you’ll find my thoughts — there are three body products (see them on the swipe) — one I think is meh, one I think is a nice-to-have, and one could change everything... read the feature (link via my bio) and let me know if you agree...
