Bride: “You know how they say “when you’re not looking, love will find you”? Well, I wasn’t just not looking, I had closed the shop, packed up my things, and put a “CLOSED FOR BUSINESS” sign on my heart. Relationship? Not me. I was perfectly fine just being by myself, thank you very much. But then one of my best friends invited me to his baby shower, and you know one thing about me is that I will always show up for my friends. So I went, minding my business as planned, when I was introduced to this very warm, very endearing guy, Tofunmi.”
Groom : “Then I saw Tobi, very beautiful and elegant! We started talking and we didn’t stop. Morning turned to afternoon, afternoon turned to evening, and we were still there, gisting about everything and nothing like old friends who had just been reunited. Real heart to heart conversations. There were no dull moments, no awkward silences. The next morning, I was catching my train back to London and I got on the same train as her, earlier than I had originally planned to leave. The universe clearly wanted us to be there at the same time, and who was I to argue? That train ride was perfect! We talked so much I didn’t even notice when we got to London.”
