we have another great mixtape by @reyanvio Rai Anvio is a Jakarta-based rapper, writer, and producer. He is obsessed with infusing mainstream or contemporary music with experimental and electronic elements. From a writing standpoint, Rai’s lyrics are cathartic. His sound is influenced by Future, Playboi Carti, and Tyler, the Creator mixed with his sentiments for the more experimental music of JPEGMAFIA, Earl Sweatshirt, Clipping., Show Me the Body, and Death Grips. Rai started taking rap seriously in 2020 when he released rock-infused Hip-Hop banger “NET BEEF!”. In 2022, he released the local hit “T.CHAL” which gained the attention of notable artists as well as alternative Hip-Hop listeners in Jakarta. He took it a step further at the end of the year by releasing the boundary-pushing single “PURA”. His song “PUR.GA.SORI” was also featured in the Jakarta Tenggelam compilation alongside other notable rappers/producers. Currently, he’s working on materials for his debut album and producing for other artists in the scene. " Distinct pieces that make sense in the end. A selection of music that Rai loves and takes inspiration from." "Starting from the belief that progression chords are expandable, open to experiments, dynamic, and unique. Progression chords in music should be fully connecting our audio-receptor, mind and more importantly our feelings. There’s no template to conceive music as “generic” and good." We have another great mixtape by @nobodycanequalme ncem is no one, she just loves music. You can find her making her 5th coffee of the day or sleeping with her cats. "What is “protest” music? Does it make you want to stand up and rally toward the state? Screaming-singing your heart out at the protest? Do the lyrics have to portray a big, provocative, “ON YOUR FACE!” type of situation? Do you feel the need to post the song on Instagram Story or TikTok for clout, and to expand the influence? Or is it the one we silently hear every day, at home, while sipping coffee and it evokes some tears or revelation at heart, no biggie? I curated eight tracks to find this out. Hear it for yourself." Frizlaser's extensive music references and knowledge lead me to contact him right after he shared Belong's Common Era, an album that i play constantly - watching footage of foggy Californian forests he took last year. This mixtape is also full of captured sounds from my neighbor’s car, reenactments of conversations and motor sound footage(s)." Link On Bio!

TODAY: "Under/Moon" Mixtape by @frizlaser & H C-(M) via @fdisfunction 's Twitch 9PM Jakarta Time + LINK IN BIO Frizlaser and I made Under/Moon (in the uncertainty of post-Covid logistics) thinking what would be the ideal soundtrack for a fictional escape-trip through the foggy forests in California, and after months of listening to each other, sharing music libraries, mixing and choosing songs, the final product came out as something Friz defined as "Passively invasive, these songs are like dreams wrapped in trouble crawling through the very eye of night." The environment we got is a dreamy, lush and bright journey full of sonic landscapes.
