A man and his dog. And his new coat. One of the rewarding things about moving home has been finally getting a puppy. Filthy, daft, manic, adoring, ravenous and irresistible, it’s like having another son. As for the coat, this is the last project for Fay Archive by its former creative director Alessandro Squarzi, that repurposes vintage US Army canvas tents that were left in Italy after WWII. Released in a limited edition of 105, each patchwork jacket is unique - and Alessandro and Fay wisely resisted the temptation to over-do the mash-up and maintain a more-or-less consistent look. I’m very impressed with it, though am wondering whether to wax it to enhance the water resistance and darken it a little. Good or bad idea? Grazie Michele Lupi, who has been behind so many of the cool projects that have come from the Tods group in recent years. #style @fay_brand
