I AM THE PARTY was A defining night for Intuit Art Museum—a true highlight of EXPO Chicago 2026.
Honoring @nickcaveart and @faust_____specialprojects with the Trendsetter Award, celebrating Jerry Stefl as Visionary Award recipient, and marking the appointment of Kahil El’Zabar as the museum’s new Board Chair.
A special appearance by the legendary @nonahendryx set the tone, followed by an afterparty with house icons DJ Lady D, Mike Dunn, and Osunlade.
With so many OOH artists present, this wasn’t the gala you were expecting—it was a gathering.
OOH Culture Network was there to document it, capturing exclusive moments from a night that continues to resonate.

We were pleased to welcome artists Nick Cave (@nickcaveart ) and Bob Faust (@faust_____specialprojects ) to IA&A’s Hillyer Center last Friday for a dedicated, artist-to-artist dialogue.
The visit connected the two renowned artists with a group of DC’s own artists and curators, offering a direct engagement with the creative voices driving our region’s contemporary dialogue. The pair toured the exhibitions currently on view at @iaahillyer , engaging with staff, artists, curators, and arts professionals to discuss the depth of artistic talent in the DC area.
Their visit coincided with the opening of Mammoth at the Smithsonian American Art Museum. In this immersive exhibition, Cave utilizes crafted Mammoth hides and bones to explore the intersection of history and identify through sculpture and performance.
Mammoth is currently on display at SAAM through January 7th, 2027.
FLOE. The changing Arctic and geopolitical tension, vanishing ice, extreme weather, denialism, madness. The Floe set, designed by Bob Faust, features animation of 2015 photographs from Ocean Geographic’s Arctic Expedition - their objective to capture its expanse and beauty, knowing how fast it is changing. In blurring and “melting” the images, Faust evokes the catastrophic disappearance and loss of the ice.

This scene about Vietnam included a visual tally, a body count. Design by Bob Faust often includes repetition, numbers, and scale— to convey the WE in the story. The powerful WE.

This is a Wallwork by me that will be the base layer of a new beaded landscape work titled Promised Land by @nickcaveart for his upcoming show at the Smithsonian American Art Museum (@americanart ). I’m sharing it early as it will be covered with several layers and will never be viewed this way once we begin applying them and just loved all the content that will become part of the finished work in this state.
