💥“Copenhagen, the city where trends go to die” - The Girlboss Discourse
We first heard this phrase at @cphfw said by @else_skjold , and it stayed with us.
And it made us wonder… 🤔🤓
what does it actually mean for trends to “die”?
And is that something to question… or something to celebrate?
So, this became the starting point for this year’s Unwasted Festival. A space to rethink the way we create, consume, and value fashion ♻️
🌈This year’s programme brings panel debates, workshops, a runway performance, swap market, an open space with creators, NGOs, community stalls, and more!
📅 Saturday, 30 May

🌸Thank you everyone that joined Mend In Public Day! 🌸
A day where we get together on a public space to bring awareness on the importance of mending clothes and expanding their lifetime. But over all, thank you for being part of this on growing community. Because the only way we can really have an impact is if we are all together in this 💚
Thanks to @snabslanten for the financial support, and to our community members that put this event together @_cave_s@mj_scandi_crafts@nazarenaensepia ✨✨✨
This Saturday during Mend in Public we’re taking repair out of our homes and into the streets.
🔥Because mending shouldn’t be invisible.
🫂 Because care shouldn’t be hidden.
♻️Because we’re done with a system that tells us to throw things away.
This is part of Fashion Revolution Week, a global movement that remembers the Rana Plaza tragedy and calls for a different fashion system.
Every stitch is a small act of resistance.
Every repair is a way of caring.
And together, it becomes something bigger.
During the day you can:
🪡 Learn mending and sewing techniques
⭐️Try linoprinting on your clothes
🧶Explore historical knitting and repair techniques
No experience needed, just come by as you are!
Bring something worn, torn, or forgotten.
We’ll bring the tools, the skills, and the community. 💚
✂️See you this Saturday 25, April. From 12.00-16.00!
📍Charlotte Ammundsens Plads 3, Kulturhuset Indre By.
This week during Fashion Revolution Week ❤️🔥
From our Circular Creative Community workshops to Mend in Public, we’re opening spaces to share skills, repair what we already have, and challenge the idea that clothes are disposable.
Whether you want to learn the basics of sewing, try linoprinting, explore historical techniques, or simply connect with others, there’s something for you.
No experience needed, just come by as you are! 🌈
Join us, bring your clothes, your ideas, and be part of a growing community creating change.
