Participants hear from Southern Arizona humanitarian leaders, visit a U.S. Border Patrol station, volunteer with bi-national faith-based organizations, clear migrant trails, and observe the legal processes that shape the lives of migrants and families. This immersive journey challenges students to wrestle with diverse political, social, and theological perspectives—and ultimately inspires them to consider real, human-centered responses to the complexities of immigration. We had a 1940s Sinaí water filter, many crosses made out of antique decorative paving tiles, rustic earthenware and a bench my mother had made.
