At Ejeris’ keynote for the ELLA summit, they put out a message that we need to reimagine ourselves, our movement spaces, and our strategy in the height of fascism. Every liberatory dream we have requires defeating fascism. Our organizations, our bodies, our minds need to be fortified for the fight ahead. We must balance building power with building organizational defense. There are more of us than them. This is within our ability.

@conmijente shared this post last year and it remains a critical explanation of how Trump is criminalizing immigrants. Wow, some things have changed since the original post, but Trump continues to demonize and imprison immigrants as a pathway towards criminalizing dissent and anyone who speaks out. We need empathy and off-ramps — not shame. In our conversation with Kenyon Farrow (S2E1), we talked about how we need to help people see who lied to them, then offer a real alternative: jobs, healthcare, housing, and a movement that actually fixes what’s broken. In our conversation with Maurice Mitchell (S2E3), we talked about what's necessary to see change in our country. It's not about what a politician can do for you. It's about what you're willing to build with your neighbors. Get activated by visiting our Resource Hub linked in bio #TheFascismBarometer

In our conversation with Maurice Mitchell (S2E3), we talked about we can defeat fascism, but we have to move together. Building the biggest, most diverse movement our country has seen means moving beyond being a listener - it means getting activated and leading where you are. Learn more about how to get activated at our resource hub - linked in our bio! #collectiveaction #thefascismbarometer #communityorganizing

We need a bigger “we.” In part 2 of our conversation with Tarso Ramos, we talked about how exactly we can resist fascism. To defeat fascism and authoritarianism, organizing must expand beyond our current circles to include people who aren’t yet part of our community. That means: - Recruiting and uplifting new leaders - Building sustained, local networks for action - Turning listeners into organizers #CollectiveAction #thefascismbarometer #politicaleducation

Navigating life under a fascist regime means we have to work harder to sift fact from fiction. This can be exhausting, but you're not responsible for knowing everything. When consuming media, try to seek a variety of resources and engage in conversation with your community. To see a list of recommended news outlets, check out our progressive news source guide, stay updated on our resource hub (link in bio), and follow The Fascism Barometer podcast wherever you listen #thefascismbaromter #politicaleducation

When one community is targeted by a fascist regime and we remain passive, we pave the way for injustice to spread. In our conversation with Darakshan Raja (S2E15), we talked about how the War on Terror started an avalanche that paved the way for systemic violence against Muslim communities. Darakshan shares that when the administration is operating under the guise of fighting for national security, they are able to legitimize the violence - and it is our job to question this. She reminds us, "what is legal is not always just." Follow @muslimsforjustfutures and tune into the pod for more #thefascismbarometer #communityorganizing #politicaleducation

***Repost from @indivisibleteam *** The next No Kings Day is March 28 — save the date, but don’t sit back and wait. We give as much advance notice as possible for No Kings Days so we have the time to make them massive, world-historic days of defiance. But Indivisible and our partners don’t set aside a few special days a year to fight the tyranny of this regime. That’s the work we’re doing every single day.

*REPOST from @_ashdashlee_ * 500+ neighbors joined WeAct and we’re 2 actions away from our next community goal. We’re testing the app. Fixing the bugs. Building community. And taking collective action for the common good. Here’s how it works: → Browse real civic actions (call your senator, boycott, organize) → Do it → Take a photo, video, or write about what you did → Reflect on your impact → Recruit others. Repeat. It’s been a wild journey. Glad to be in it with y’all. weactnow.com #WeAct #TakeAction #Community #Accountability #CollectiveAction
