We are launching our new sound system ‘Hive’ next Wednesday at Clerkenwell design week :)
In collaboration with @cake.architecture x @domustiles we will have the new system installed from the 19th - 21st of May exploring the relationship between space, sound, and material.
We have shaped the program for day two’s listening room & we can’t wait to invite -
@afromerm with @juicyflutes (live) - blending electronic elements with live flute, spoken and sung vocalisations, and a self-built motion-reactive instrument, Juniper
@kareemsamaramusic (live) - combining the Oud and Arabic percussion with loopers and samplers
& @eyeveyes + @farrant0 (dj)

To celebrate the end of our residency at @shai.space we host a day party.
The event starts with a sit-down three course dinner in the space included in the Dinner & Dance tickets (limited availability!). A chance to eat some lovely veggie food made by friends of the party and get to know everyone.
Expect our residents to then play everything from dub, disco, krautrock and deep cuts from across the globe through our system :)

As part of our residency at @shai.space in Peckham we invite @_emmalwarren_ for a discussion on her brand new book Up The Youth Club on Wednesday the 22nd of October.
Emma Warren has been writing and making radio about music and community for decades and is internationally respected for her work documenting grassroots culture.
Her new study in contemporary British culture starts with a simple question:
‘Where have all our youth clubs gone?’ Once a feature of everyday life – whether provided by a church, settlement, local council or voluntary effort – like so many other local facilities they have quietly disappeared. (words by @kenworpole )
Having worked to supply the sound with @manliketaysh for @growtoknow.world this past summer, an initiative to close the gap between huge disparities in London through a community garden in North Kensington, we have been super inspired to further explore how sound can inform meaningful change, such as this special talk.
Join us as we use the sound system as a boundary object to invite people to step into the mind of this brilliant do-gooder. :)

Warming the floor for @clubalegria__ the other week was lovely, laying down the foundations with some slower bits. A great party from @slicausi + the team.
An honor to play on the giant steps soundsystem, an inspiration in immaculate, warm sound :)
Also a mention to @the.bath.house.hw an amazing space which has reinvented parties in London. They are under threat from the council with a potential lease termination and they still need signatures on a petition so head to my bio to sign it and save it.
