I hope this experience of making new paper from old (junk mail) paper on an old screen I found and gave a new purpose to is okay. A lot could go wrong like a thunderstorm tonight or maybe my cat will step on it, I dunno. It is definitely in the way. A lot could go right, like I could have 2 BIG sheets to work on after they cure up for a few weeks? Slow is ok. I have a vision for when it’s done.
My sweet pup has passed on, and I’m trying hard to reimagine life without my stinker-babe. I’m happy to have painted her in her wizard hat I made. She was the most beautiful, Magical Pup. See you in my dreams, Elbee.

More encaustic on handmade paper. One got burned for the Solstice and one is gonna be burned for the New Year. These are just temporarily art. Let me know if you need one for your next ceremony.
Had a neat show @bookmarxbooks when they still had the red walls five years ago. Take a peek. I haven’t had time to make anything lately, but my style is here if you need a commission soon.
My amethyst holding shelf auspiciously broke and created this wreckage on my desk. This mysterious being was just stirring in the middle of it. Surviving. We made eye contact and then the creature telepathically teleported to another location, then another and another. Until finally, you can see in the last slide, a diner. Gobspeed.
New #encausticpainting called “Wheel of Fortune Cookie”.
I made this by molding recycled junk mail #paperclay in a plastic container and let it dry completely, added wax and pigment and embedded fortunes 🥠 from cookies I ate. I found the intestines on the floor one day and was saving them for this, I guess. It’s about always wanting more but everything taking time and coming around at the right moment. And digesting like, life, i think.
What’s your favorite #fortune?
Some good advice about the future (which is today) that I wrote in 2017z
If you scroll all the way down on @fakebirdcreates grid you can see how this account started with me illustrating each square from the @fakebird.clown insta. I couldn’t keep up with the insane project because now there’s something like 2000 posts. But this is one of my favorites. Follow @fakebird.clown to see some of my normal life pictures. Follow @arrow.creative.reuse to see what I do at my job as a director for Springfield’s art supply thrift store and more.
Try not to be scared of stupid shit going on just try to be nice to each other and make something with your hands that doesn’t hurt anything ‘cause maybe that’s the real punk rock. Love you.
