For our second collective show with @faellowship we talked about whether or not a shared language is desired or required in order to be able to be together. We listened to Edouard Glissant speaking about the notion of opacity, and read through excerpts of Sexuality Beyond Consent by Avgi Saketopoulou. We spoke to someone who considers their second language (Dutch) their worst language, but found themselves touched by Jacques Brel’s ‘Vlakke Land’ - not a native Dutch speaker himself. We gathered music in languages we do not (yet) speak and attempt to feel beyond understanding. Thanks to @mutantradiotbilisi for giving us the air time, tonight 9PM Tbilisi time or 7PM Brussels time!

MEET THE RESIDENTS ✧ APRIL 2025 This month, we're hosting @faellowship , the first collective of this year. Faellowship is Jeanne Coppens, Lina Ejdaa, Anna Laganovska and Stine Sampers. "Emerging from friendships that exist in overlapping cultural and political scenes, our collective is held together by a common investment in the sonic and the sensorial to establish connections with the spaces in which we find ourselves. In their haptic vibrations, their ability to animate and intensify flows between living and non-living things, sounds/senses constitute vibrant matter that plays an important part in forming the texture of everyday life. Sounds/senses can then be mobilised “as a structural base as well as a speculative guide for engaging arguments about social and political struggle” (from LaBelle’s Sonic Agency, 2018). From this, the concept of a faellowship took shape, centred on the medium of a radio programme."
