Is it a documentary about making a horror film or is it a horror film about making a documentary? Check it out and decide for yourself! Residency by @w1nn1th is the newest Factory 25 Blu-ray! Produced as part of our ongoing series with @vinegarsyndrome and @ocn_distro - Available with and without a limited edition slipcase. BLU-RAY FEATURES - Four Short Films: Last Call by Winnie Cheung, Seashells Seashells by the Fucking Seashore by Oliver Shahery, Sand/Witch by Carla Maldonado & Lily Lady, and Albatross Soup by Winnie Cheung - 20 page booklet with a Q&A with Winnie Cheung and Samara Bliss by Priyanka Teeluck Length: 75 minutes + 44 Minutes of Extras In RESIDENCY, the artworld, documentary film, and real life all blur together as an eclectic group of 10 female artists (in disciplines as disparate as music, fashion, painting, sculpture and photography) all accept the titular residency at a funky Brooklyn shared artists collective. The film was shot at New York art collective The Locker Room, with Cheung herself as one of the participants, inspiring the director to turn her documentary about the various artists around her into a mind bending trip into obsession, artistic struggle and eventually murder. The gallery is real. The artists are real. The residency is real. The passion is real. The story may or may not be real. Directed by Winnie Cheung Produced by Samara Bliss, Winnie Cheung, and Brendan Elefante Music by @2cb_band @thelockerroomnyc Starring Amanda Mehl, Rachel van der Nacht, Winnie Cheung, Manuela Viera Gallo, Mara Catalan, Chase Lombardo, Lily Rogers, Brittany Franzo, Innua Robinson, Kalina Winters, Samara Bliss, Bunny Elefante, Niko Koloseus, SOLEIL, Catherine Candor and Daniel McDonald Design by @loveandvictory “A haunting metafictional tale about female artists pushed beyond their limits at a cursed artist residency.” -Leo Barraclough, Variety Link in bio

“Rejection after rejection was coming in. And I got rejected from literally every festival.” As his Guy Maddin-presented City Wide Fever hits Blu-ray and shows tomorrow night @alamonyc , writer-director Josh Heaps tells us about making a film with zero money, securing his legendary executive producer in three minutes, and persisting in the seemingly impossible cinematic climate. Listen on the new episode of Emulsion at the link in bio.

See You Next Tuesday by @drewtobia and starring @honeydipmagicstick is now available to view on @mubi !!!! “The movie approaches the psychological horror of Roman Polanski’s Repulsion. Like that film, See You Next Tuesday locks the viewer into a disturbed character’s head space, generating terror from the possibility it will erupt upon the world at large. -Ben Sachs, Chicago Reader

Hey Brooklyn - Need something to do tonight? Go see The Closeness by @kitakemushrooms at @come.to.life.world with a Q&A by Kit and others It’s part of Lifeworld’s well curated Micro-Budget Match series. “This Closeness,” a microbudget indie directed by Kit Zauhar, wittily examines the ways we create and avoid closeness in modern life, both by choice and, especially when we’re young, necessity. -Alissa Wilkinson, The New York Times
