It seems like I have spent this year conquering side quests.
We opened our new FACTORY JB studio, and I finally got that big ass street facing signage I’ve always wanted.
Painted The Alley’s Keeper mural for
@8mresg ’s Arts in the Alley, a neon cat watching over the back alleys of Tanjong Pagar.
Built In Sight for
@smuartsfest , a kinetic light piece that turned a corridor into moving light.
Wrote and published redding, my second novel, one that is about identity, memory and the versions of ourselves we leave behind.
Raised a six metre neon cat carousel installation at
@milleniawalk , titled Dreams of Santa Paws, and watched kids claim it as theirs.
Showed and sold a new artwork titled 步步高升 at
@temenggongsg , my first group show this year.
Launched
@work.byfactory ‘s Meowly plushie for this year’s Write a Christmas Card.
Somewhere in between clients’ work and late night musings, design and art has finally stopped feeling like separate lives to me. Often this year, I have felt that the best place to walk is where everyone else is running. Or, to run where everyone else is walking. For a few moments each day, I am learning to let my mind stay where my feet are, with the people and things that make my days lighter. Many times, it is on the good old toilet bowl.
Thank you 2025 for being a strange, good year.
