I traveled nearly 8000 miles to reach Chiang Dao, Thailand for this festival, and I feel so grateful to have had the opportunity to attend. The fire circle vibes were some of the best I’ve experienced, with collaborative and positive energy all around.
Big thanks to the fire circle organizers for making this magic possible, and for the festival organizers for facilitating such a special gathering of art through dance.

The process of going back through all of the photos I’ve taken and shared on this account since the creation of it led to a greater reflective experience.
This project has been alive for roughly 6 months, and it has grown and evolved along the way. The first flow photography post I shared was to my other account @ivstreets after attending @firedrumsfestival in June, but I didn’t find a direction with Faces of Flow until later that month. Prior to Faces of Flow, I found myself in a heavy creative slump for close to a year, feeling a lack of passion and excitement that led to depression. I thrive when I have a purpose to work towards. I want to develop something impactful, something meaningful and lasting. I feel like I’m on the way with this project, and I’m excited to continue working with the amazing artists of the flow world into 2026.
I want to thank everyone who has supported me this year! I’m looking forward to expanding across the U.S. to attend @kineticfireretreat and @flame.festival as well as traveling internationally to document flow overseas.

When midnight was about to strike, we embraced the new year energy by setting the rain on fire. 2️⃣0️⃣2️⃣6️⃣🐦🔥
My creative inspiration was overflowing and I just had to get us outside (we did not plan this at all). What an exciting and inspiring feeling it was; the cold rain and the spicy fire. The rain hitting the fire created blue steam lit by our backlight. My senses were ignited. I’m really happy with how these came out, too. I have never seen anyone capture photos quite like these, nor have I ever seen fire photography in the rain at all. It feels great to step outside of my comfort zone.
I have also never edited our photos with illustrator until now. There was no intent to make a triangle but afterwards I couldn’t resist making it into the famous album cover.

I’ve been enjoying bringing my photo printer to fire jams and handing out prints. There’s something about the immediacy of going from shooting to handing a physical photo over that is so satisfying. Thank you to @kevph0ric for creating dope art with the dragon staff that gave me the opportunity to capture this moment 🙏

Loved capturing this tunnel flow moment with Niki and Jonny at our shoot back in January. The geometric patterns that four staves can produce are so mesmerizing to watch. It’s interesting how the synergy between certain props lends itself to different implied shapes. I see a lot of diamonds, crosses, squares/boxes, and triangles. 🔺
I took a much more minimal approach to this edit, only including one cut during the front/back transition between the flow artists. I shot this in 120fps, but I feel like this didn’t need any speed ramping or slow mo, so I just kept it real time. I think there’s a value to both kinds of edits. What do you prefer? The quick snappy short clips with speed ramping or the longer uninterrupted clips? Both? Lmk 🙏

So I went to @fireflowla a couple months ago with my camera and set out on a mission to capture these dope people doing dope things and share it with them in the same night 😎
