Over the years of learning photography, I’ve realized that growth is not about learning more but about unlearning first.
I’ve had to question what I thought I knew. I’ve had to let go of habits, safe choices, and easy images. Now, I think deeper. I sit longer with my ideas. I care more about what the image is saying and what it is making you feel.
Every frame must carry something, a movement, a tension, a silence, a shock, a smile. If it doesn’t stir you, if it doesn’t make you pause or wonder, then what is it really doing?
I’m learning that an image should move like a living thing. It should hold emotion. It should feel human.
This journey is teaching me how to tell better stories. More honest stories. It’s teaching me how to see people more clearly and how to see myself more clearly too.
I’m unlearning. I’m relearning. I’m going deeper.
