@purplemusclecar heißt das erfolgreiche Projekt des Saxophonvirtuosen Fabian Rucker | @fabrucker , das an den Sound seines erfolgreichen Trios Namby Pamby Boy anschließt, ihn aber um Einflüsse aus Rock und Elektronik erweitert und so ein Gefühl verbreitet, das irgendwo zwischen Freeway, French Dinner und French-Connection liegt.
Zuletzt waren sie auch beim #kickjazz2025 mit dabei und begeisterten das Publikum.

Zum ersten Mal treten Fabian Rucker (Saxophon), Kasho Chualan (Klavier, Elektronik) und Max Plattner (Schlagzeug, Elektronik) gemeinsam auf. Das Trio entfaltet eine frei improvisierte Klangwelt, die von filigraner Reduktion bis zu eruptiver Energie reicht. „A revelation – eine Offenbarung“ (All About Jazz) nannte man Rucker, Chualan wurde vom Rhiz Wien als „antichrist of classical music“ beschrieben, und Plattner überzeugt laut DerStandard durch „unique voice … artistic vision and authenticity“. Eine Premiere, die Intensität, Überraschung und Nähe zum Publikum verspricht.
