Verwacht een voorstelling over de top maar met intieme momenten, verwacht liedjes en dansjes maar verwacht ook een terechtwijzend vingertje. Some glimpses into Creating Espacios, our zine launch and workshop last Friday! The zine emerged as a collaboration between Constanza Lobos and Marileen La Haije from Radboud University with @hambrehambrehambre , @espacio_tecla and of course our very own @knustpress . We talked about zine-making, care ethics, and how artistic practices can allow for a diversity of voices and mediums to come together. Deze inclusieve show laat je burlesque & meer zien in de breedste zin van het woord: van klassiek tot neo, van opkomend talent tot gevorderde artiesten van alle genders, leeftijden en lichaamstypes. Een burlesque show is jouw avondje uit, en dus ook de perfecte gelegenheid om je uit te dossen in een schitterende jurk of stijlvol pak. Hoeft niet, maar mag wel. ;) Vanwege het intieme karakter van de Extrapool zijn er een beperkt aantal tickets. 🎹March 26th🎹 Synthese: Prophän & Cengiz Arslanpay Come join us on March 26, when Prophän and Cengiz Arslanpay conclude their residencies with a concert at Extrapool. In February, at the invitation of @syntheseutrecht , Cengiz Arslanpay worked with Mohamed Said and Prophän during an initial residency in Tangier, Morocco. In March, they met again at the Extrapool studio. Together, they explored Hmadcha Sufi rituals, ceremonies often involving hypnotic drumming, chanting, and ecstatic body movements. 🌱Onland🌱 Onland is a word used for wetlands unfit for cultivation, too complex and strange to make sense of. For the past year Extrapool has been making programs called Swamps, embracing our bubbling magical chaos. Now, Extrapool is going introspective with Onland, a swampy program about the swamp. During two consecutive weekends in April and May Extrapool will host the mystical creations and stories of Dakota Magdalena Mokhammad. Together, we’ll find our way through Pedro Matias’ emotional mapping, engage in a symbiotic relationship with Alga’s bar from EAT ART collective, witness the performative collaboration between Eva Garibaldi and Matilde Stolfa and have a spongy movie night with Moss Berke.
