We did a thing whilst up in Skye. Sgùrr na Strì aka the hill of strife in the Cuillin Mountains. This photo means a lot. After a failed attempt a few years back and a scary night spent in the Cuillins, it taught us a lot of lessons. But I wanted this photo, much to the concern of some. To get to the summit, after an almost hellish climb at points and testing some fears on some rock faces we even found some wreckage from the 1982 fighter jet crash, watched an eagle soar and heard cuckoos. This is a magical climb to be remembered. We made it to the top and cheered as loud as we could. It was all worth it. The best view in Britain, completed. Some photos really do have to be earned. #sgurrnastri #thecuillins #thewilderness #wilderness #elgol #lochcoruisk #johnmuir #scotland #scotlandexplore #isleofskye #isleofskyescotland #isleofskyeofficial #cuillins #cuillinridge #cuillinridgeline #scotshots #visitscotland #greatthingscomeoutofcomfortzones #greatbritain #visitskye #lovescotland #exploretocreate #printyourphotos #hellofrom #folkscenery #stayandwander #nomadict #hikemore #roamtheplanet #mountainside

The first stop on a recent trip to the Lake District, somewhere I’ve been wanting to check out for a while, Cathedral Caves. A cool place to explore that brings out your inner child exploring all the little nooks and crannies. Starting off in Little Langdale, you couldn’t get more ’Lake District’ in look and feel, as well as plenty of little sheep to great you down the track on the way down from the car park. Ps. It goes without saying, if you want to check this place out, please treat our beautiful places with respect and care.

ā€œEmily, you’re always on holidayā€ is what I often hear when I bump into someone I haven’t seen for a while. I guess Instagram can give that misconception, especially when your a photographer who can very easily share the highlights with a hard drive full of content at your finger tips. So here’s a very busy and real week in the life of me with back to back shoots with some work bts @oomph_creative and a wedding @emilylittlephotography squeezed in too! Suns out… means cameras out for lots of clients, something I’m very privileged to do. But now, it’s a well earned day off and a rum and coke by the fire pit šŸ˜€ šŸ”„

On this day a year ago @exploringemily and I took a leap of faith in each other and made a film: DEAR HEART. We filmed it in a day. We had to, it was six weeks after I’d had heart surgery, so my energy levels were pretty low. The journey from initial meeting in November 2024 @campwild.uk and @kendalmountainfestival has been eventful. It’s a whole story in itself, which is something we’re going to be working on very soon - watch this space!!! Exciting new collaboration incoming šŸ¤«šŸ’ƒšŸ’ƒ DEAR HEART has come so far in just a year: seven laurels, at least seven screenings at international film festivals including @keswickfilm @mountainfestival @londonmountainfilm @nnfilmfestival to name a few. A beautiful screening @alpkit Keswick store. And, more to come, including @vervefestival @southscotlandoutdoorfestival and @keswickfestival this summer. It’s been an incredibly moving experience for both of us and when we took that leap of faith we didn’t know each other, but somehow just knew the key messages would be universal and yet acutely personal. For both of us it felt important to stress that less is more: big adventures can come from doing tiny things. #dearheart #womeninfilmmaking #sarabarnesauthor #lessismore #anniversary

Creativity, flavour and adventure. That’s everything to me that @field.blends encompasses in a great looking product run by some great guys! This is not an ad, just a genuine appreciation for a product I love, that to me, are the sponsor of good times! Whether cooking at home, on the bbq or on the side of a mountain, they’re there when good memories are created. And once you’re done, the tins are great for storing your own blends and tricks! I first came across them when a friend introduced me to @delli.market and I just loved their imagery and ethos. I maybe biased but I love it when a food brand has great imagery, you just know that you’re onto a good start! Anyway, here’s a few shots of good times that have involved @field.blends My latest way to incorporate my favourite blend of the moment, Smokey Peach and Jalepeno is on my own take of elote corn ribs, maybe I should share the recipe??

Photography doesn’t always need to be perfect, just fun. Ok, this camera has been all over my feed, so when I headed out to the alps last month, I thought I’d test it out and see if it’s actually any good or just another viral gimmick. Is it any good? I’d say it’s worth it for the price tag and a bit of fun. The blind box element is probably the most exciting element about it for me. If you’re looking for nostalgia, then it’s for you. But is it something to rely on for precious memories, no. But I don’t think thats what it’s designed for. It would be a great gift, or perhaps the perfect ā€˜upload all’ camera for an event with how simple it is to use. I’d say it’s certainly more about the experience than the results and a bit of fun!

Stony Stratford… we’re officially brewing ā˜•ā¤ļø Mile Zero Coffee is OPEN and we couldn’t be prouder to be part of this amazing town. From day one, this has been about more than just great coffee, it’s about shopping local, supporting local, and working with the brilliant independent local businesses that make this place what it is. Our coffee is roasted right in Stony Stratford, our food is sourced locally, and every cup comes with a big dose of community spirit. Pop in for a flat white, stay for the chat, leave knowing you’ve supported something close to home. This is Mile Zero. Local, independent, and brewed with heart. Huge love to @exploringemily at @oomph_creative for absolutely nailing this video and capturing the soul of what we’re building here šŸŽ„āœØ #MileZeroCoffee #StonyStratford #ShopLocal #IndependentCoffee #SupportLocal
