Very grateful for this inspiring weekend. ✨ @ipu.berlin I had the opportunity to give two mini lectures: — at the International Career Day on the work of organisational psychologists and the unconscious in organisations — and at the IPU Open Days on transference and countertransference in leadership. As much as I enjoyed speaking about psychoanalysis and organisations, I loved the conversations afterwards even more — the curiosity, reflections, discussions, and thoughtful feedback messages and emails I received. Teaching sustainable leadership is always a privilege – but this session was something special. The students were deeply engaged and we moved together through multiple layers of reflection: from current leadership literature to the political situation in Hungary and its implications for leadership and responsibility in complex systems. We explored knowledge management in multigenerational organizations – and how experience, innovation, and differing perspectives can either clash or become a powerful resource when held well. And then we went further: a journey into space, using NASA vignette cases to analyze psychodynamic processes in high-pressure leadership environments. What stayed with me was the openness, curiosity, and seriousness with which the group engaged these different worlds of thought. This weekend I had the privilege of working with the team of @sonntags.club in a workshop on collaboration and team development. At a time when psychosocial counseling services are facing increasing political cuts, spaces like this become even more important. The work of SonntagsClub shows how much dedication, care, and professional commitment is needed to sustain support structures for the LGBTQ+ community. Every day, they offer psychosocial counseling, create opportunities for encounter, and hold a safer space where people can come as they are. In our workshop we reflected on a simple but demanding question: How can teams continue to work well together when external pressures and uncertainties increase? What became visible again is that strong teamwork does not emerge from perfect conditions. It grows from trust, mutual support, open dialogue, and the shared conviction that the work matters. Despite difficult political circumstances, there was something deeply hopeful in the room: people who remain committed to their mission, who take care of one another, and who continue to create spaces of dignity and belonging for others. 🔥Strong leadership begins with a shared vision! On 12 February 2026, the ETC Board of Directors, the ETC Theatre Advisory Council (TAC) and the ETC team came together at the Deutsches Theater Berlin (@deutschestheaterberlin )for a dedicated strategic workshop, reflecting on where we stand and how we shape the future of European theatre together. Hosted by ETC Executive Director Heidi Wiley and facilitated by Dragan Šimičević (Dipl. Psych., MA Leadership & Consulting, Coach, Change Manager @exploreself ), the workshop convened the members of the Board and TAC - artistic directors and theatre leaders from across Europe. It marked an important moment of shared input, strategic dialogue and collective reflection on the responsibilities and opportunities ahead for our sector. Guided by our Vision 2030, we reaffirmed our commitment to: 🔴increasing the visibility and accessibility of European theatre 🔴bringing new voices into European discourse 🔴and strengthening integration, diversity and social relevance across the sector.
