The most beautiful walk along Westport with my girls.
We collected shells for Torrin, sprinted down sand dunes (well they did ~ I watched on and from my own childhood memories told them the best places to start from!) We also enjoyed watching the hypnotic Atlantic waves crashing against the rocks. 🌊
Visit Kintyre during winter and you will have magical beaches like this all to yourself! 🤍
We are delighted to publish the 2024 Explore Kintyre & Gigha Events and Festivals Calendar/Diary.
There are a huge selection of events including music, sport, drama, food & drink, Christmas events, fairs and exhibitions included so there’s lots to do throughout this year.
We would like to thank all the organisers for submitting their information and please let us know if we have incorrectly listed anything that you are involved in and we will update the Diary. We also have the Diary in PDF with links to all the events and we can send this to you on request.
In addition if you wish to include your event in The List for free just drop Iain an email at [email protected] . This is a free listing provided by Argyll & the Isles Tourism Cooperative (AITC) and Wild About Argyll.
Save The Date for AITC Roadshow in Tarbert at 10am - 12 noon on March 8th.
We will confirm the venue and post up more information soon.
All businesses from Kintyre, Gigha and Mid Argyll are welcome to attend.
Get active as you explore the Kintyre 66!
Don’t forget to pack your clubs as there’s six breathtaking golf courses across Kintyre and Gigha with views like no other - some of the best in the world!
The award-winning Machrihanish Dunes Golf Course opened in 2009 and has received numerous recognitions since. It may be 'new' but it is steeped in history with links to the original golf course architect, Old Tom Morris, and more recently David McLay Kidd. Accept the invite to play here and you'll be rewarded with a truly unforgettable experience.
At Machrihanish Golf Club you play off the only opening tee in the world that requires you to carry the Atlantic or at least part of it! This spectacular course has earned its place in the world's top 100.
You’ll never tire of Kintyre with so many activities to enjoy!
