📍 Dorset Lookout Tower. Located just 30 minutes outside Huntsville, this tower was originally built in 1922, and was used as a fire lookout tower until 1961. The current tower was built in 1967 and is now used solely for visitors to enjoy.
The tower is open to visitors until the end of October. There's also a quaint gift shop, picnic tables and washroom facilities.

📍 Cheltenham Badlands. Located in Caledon (1 hour outside Toronto) this site is one of Ontario’s best geological treasures, formed at the base of an ancient sea about 450 million years ago. There are two easy hiking trails here (including one that connects to the Bruce Trail) and an accessible viewing platform that extends across the Badlands to ensure its protection for decades to come.

📍Doube’s Trestle Bridge is part of the Trans-Canada Trail and only 20 minutes from Peterborough. This 200-metre long walking/ cycling bridge (also referred to as Orange Corners Trestle Bridge) is suspended 30 metres over Buttermilk Valley - and offers incredible 360 degree views for trail users.
It has been completely restored after a devastating fire in 2024, and is an absolute gem to hike in spring, summer and fall.
