Truly some of the nicest guys in indie rock, Portland, Oregon’s @blitzentrapper were always good to Indianapolis. They toured through multiple times, always giving us a great show. I first heard Eric’s sounds on the @blitzentrapper album “Wild Mountain Nation” in 2007. I had listened to his albums over the years but when I met @explodinggreen , she re-introduced me to the bands latest albums and arranged for a trip to meet him in 2024. Here it is, my sweet baby beast! The cow eats the grass and transforms it into milk. Similarly, all of my heartache, confusion and good times transformed into the songs on ‘Transitional Phase.’ It felt like a long journey to get to today, where I can finally offer them to you. I hope this album can bring you joy or augment a moment in your day. I hope it resonates with you in some way and harmonizes with the sadness and pain that is universally collective. And May it help with your transcendences to the astral plane and be a tiny friend on your journey to your true destination. 🐄 It is dedicated to the late Raymond Byron Magic Raposa who got me started making records and who inspired the hell out of me while he was here in this world. It’s also dedicated to my favorite teacher Hanuman Swami (Aka Huber Robinson) who has been a guide everyday; who constantly gives me new perspectives on the psyche and the nature of the soul, and Carl Jung & Krishna consciousness. He’s also my favorite comedian, improv actor, film maker and traveling monk! :) Thanks for taking this pretty little cow (made by John Gnorski) into your life!
