@gi_tschechien brings together German and Czech civil society and cultural actors, inviting them to reflect, discuss, and develop new perspectives for an inclusive and future-oriented culture of remembrance.
🗣️The speakers are:
Claudie Laburdová, leader of the Roma women’s group Manush of
@slovo21zs : Its goal is to support and educate Romani girls and women in order to build self-confidence, set their priorities, and advocate for their place in Romani families and Czech society.
Ladislav Mucha
@ladislavmucha , artist and technical illustrator. He uses the artistic nickname Maxim Muchow and is a Romani community member.
Dr. Andrea Despot, Chief Executive Officer of the EVZ Foundation since 2020. She is an expert on Eastern European society and history as well as on historical-political education, the culture(s) of remembrance in Europe, and their contribution to European integration.

@toscano7327 . From May 26 to June 9 you can see his photography project “Ma Bistrass! Lest we forget” on Kampa Island in Prague. The project honors survivors of Nazi persecution from the Sinti and Roma communities.
